Fresh Beats 365 (Jan 30, 2017, Tom Roden) framed it as FEiN's re-emergence after going quiet post-Little Homes (2016): a Mike Funk collaboration that arguably overshadows most of the band's album. Traditional disco melodies with contemporary funk guitars and a fiercely frantic tempo, in the vein of the Christofi collabs, with FEiN's usual self-aware wit on the disco-revival juxtaposition. ReverbNation Blog (Jan 27, 2017) opened the same post-Little Homes window (headline Spotify Playlists, Dragon Ball Z, and Collabs) with Christofi × The Disco and Luke on the fourth writer ghost in collabs (Writing 'The Disco' was terrifying).
