Days like this are easy to come by
  Easier all the time
  Gone aggressive into the goodnight
  Easier all the time
Stay up late reliving a bad vibe
  Tell a familiar lie
Set myself up blind in the meantime
  Killing another night

  That was super cool
  Pillow to my face
  How long will it hurt
  Hello, nothing new

  Am I gonna feel stupid
  Forever
  Forever
Forever, am I gonna feel stupid
  Forever
  Forever, hmmm
  I don't wanna feel stupid
  Forever
  Forever
Forever, am I gonna feel stupid
  Forever
  Forever, hmm

Days like this don't lead with a headline
  Give it a little time
  Soothe myself in measured achievement
  Cozy until the night
My god, let this be the last time
  Smell a familiar lie
If I ever think it's a good vibe
  Burn out all the light

  That was super cool
  Pillow to my face
  How long will it hurt
  Hello, nothing new

  Am I gonna feel stupid
  Forever
  Forever
Forever, I don't wanna feel stupid
  Forever
  Forever, hmmm
  Am I gonna feel stupid
  Forever
  Forever
Forever, I don't wanna feel stupid
  Forever
  Forever, hmm

  Pull me from my room
  Shoot me into space
  How long will it hurt
  Hello from the moon

  Am I gonna feel stupid
  Forever
  Forever
Forever, am I gonna feel stupid
  Forever
  Forever, hmmm
  I don't wanna feel stupid
  Forever
  Forever
Forever, I don't wanna feel stupid
  Forever
  Forever, hmm
  Maybe I'm gonna feel stupid
  Forever
  Forever
Forever, am I gonna feel stupid
  Forever
  Forever, hmm
  Maybe I'm gonna feel stupid
  Forever
  Forever
Forever, am I gonna feel stupid
  Forever
  Forever, hmm

**FEiN** single (**June 14, 2021**), co-written by **Luke Francis Walton** and **Brandon Michael Woodward**. Mixed and mastered by **[Frank Rosato](/with/frank-rosato/)** (same Woodcliff chain as [*Sidecar*](/songs/sidecar/) and [*Delicate*](/songs/delicate/); [*Bodies*](/songs/bodies/) uses Cary Singer / Riley Knapp). [360° live session at KCRW](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrFmJEINXNU) with **Ryan McDiarmid** (drums) and **Geo Botelho** (bass), session audio mastered by Riley Knapp — performance video, not a produced MV ([FEiN's only MV is *#Grownupz*](/songs/grownupz/)). Good place to catch Walton's guitar solo. Not on [*Little Homes*](/albums/little-homes-fein/) (2016); part of the 2021 FEiN cluster with *Sidecar* (December) and Scoobert's [*I'm an Idiot*](/songs/im-an-idiot/), all sharing the same post-pandemic self-consciousness.

Shame as singalong. The verses run a rumination loop dressed up as ease (*days like this are easy to come by*), small wins as anesthesia before the relapse into *burn out all the light*. The bridge does the real damage with deadpan sarcasm, *that was super cool / pillow to my face*, a greeting to your own rerun.

By the final bridge the escape fantasy has scaled to orbit (*hello from the moon*) and the outro converts the title question into a prognosis: *maybe I'm gonna feel stupid forever*. Pairs with [*Behave*](/songs/behave/) (scripts you fail) and [*Infant*](/songs/infant/) (misreading someone).
