Track two on Masks and Monsters: Luke solo, North Park lockdown, August 2020. After It Can Get Worse opens on nightmare logic, this is the intimate flip. Same trap reframed as a honeymoon: the apartment as a desert island, the partner as the whole cast. I could waste my life with you, and time dilates to make that sound like a plan.
The jokes do the emotional work. Lockdown hobbies become courtship (cave paintings, going all culinary), COVID paranoia becomes a romance chore (covering you when he coughs), the supermarket run becomes an expedition in full PPE. Under it all sits a fact you can't argue with by repeating, we are stuck no matter what we do, with the relief right on top: waking up next to you makes you forget. The title is pun and cuddle command at once, the partner you hide under the blanket with.
Same register as Creature Comfort and Shaggy's Anthem, but here the mask is domestic warmth, not bravado. Pairs with Pandemic Blues as the other "I've got it good" lockdown song on the LP.
