OKAME is the post-CHAI project of twin frontwomen MANA and KANA, launched in 2025 as a new musical chapter built around “revolution through music.” Japanese press has described the project as a fresh departure from their previous band sound, with a genre-crossing approach that rebuilds their pop sensibility in a new context.

After CHAI’s 2024 breakup, MANA and KANA again took up the mic and instruments and started OKAME in **September 2025**: [Rooftop](https://rooftop1976.com/news/2026/01/09183000.php) frames it as *ex.CHAIのMANA・KANAによる新プロジェクトOKAME*; [MARZEL](https://marzel.jp/topics/20251003/) as *元CHAIの双子フロントマンMANA・KANAによる新音楽プロジェクト“OKAME”* pursuing **ノスタルポップ** (Nostalpop). [A SCENE](https://ascene.co.jp/pages/okame-interview/) has MANA on the OKAME name and the meaning *音楽で革命を*: revolution through music: and on twin identity: born as twins, raised as twins, succeeded as twins.

**おかしなきもち** (“Okashina Kimochi”) was the first single, digital release **October 1, 2025** ([Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/track/2XfvyWp2nb9SM7lSJhFzOJ) · [Apple Music single](https://music.apple.com/us/song/okashi-na-kimochi/1837424980) · [DEBUT album version](https://music.apple.com/us/song/okashinakimochi/1867075171)), with the paid fan club **Futago Club** launching alongside the project ([NiEW](https://niewmedia.com/en/news/2510okame/)). The [Apple Music credits pane](https://music.apple.com/us/song/okashi-na-kimochi/1837424980) lists **Scoobert Doobert** as **Mixing Engineer**, **OKAME** as **Producer**, and **MANA** and **KANA** as **Mastering Engineers** — verified on both the standalone single and the DEBUT album cut (track 1).

Luke Francis Walton mixed this track and the full [***DEBUT***](/albums/okame-debut/) album (Feb 2026). Adjacent in the MANA/KANA arc: [KOMAGOME: WE CAN'T DOLL](/songs/we-cant-doll/) and [CHAHHAN](/songs/chahhan/).
