Not every Scoobert song is a koan. This one is two dudes deciding the cubicle brother needs a summer, right now, in daylight. The perfect day isn't optimized. It's unexpected, kinda weird, kinda chaotic, maybe psychotic-looking to strangers until you win them over.
"Better late than never" runs through the whole thing like a permission slip: you don't need the perfect plan or the perfect weather forecast, just the willingness to go outside and see what happens. The hook is literally just we're gonna have the best day ever repeated until you believe it.
