It started as a voice note on a cliff above Moonlight Beach: California burrito, waves, and a silly call-and-response, *you feeling alright?* / *yeah*. The song keeps asking until the answer sticks. The logistics are the romance: you bring the weed, I'll bring the music, is this a holiday or a workday? (*I think that it's Tuesday*.) Sunroof down, UV on purpose.

The rest is beach comedy, a burrito *bigger than my forearm* and a request to be buried like a grunion with *room for my hand* to hold an ice cream. The chorus stacks *alright* until it's less a question than a fact.
