I Don't Speak French (IDSF) is a collaborative Swedish project led by Håkan Persson, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and Indieshake label founder. The band formed after music-production studies; the name comes from an early lyric (I don't speak French, or Italian baby). Style shifts deliberately: samba to punk to massive hooks, with The Archives, Pt. 1 and Pt. 2 (2022) and the BOB album track Blow the Speakers Up in the catalog. Sync and TV are part of the public record: MTV features (e.g. Catfish, Teen Mom), and Samsung campaigns using IDSF tracks internationally. Luke Francis Walton appears on the Scoobert Doobert side of two joint singles as a named collab artist, not as Persson's mixer. Protoplasmic Prison Cell (Sep 30, 2022, Beformer / Indieshake) and Voulez-Vous (Aug 4, 2023, Indieshake) are the two joint singles. @indieshake × @beformer celebrated Voulez-Vous on Spotify New Music Friday, Indie Covers, and Apple Music New Music Daily (Aug 9, 2023). Persson also discussed DIY, Sweden, and sync on Love Music More. Collaborations with Scoobert Doobert: Protoplasmic Prison Cell (2022 · Beformer / Indieshake · ISRC QZNWU2290488); Voulez-Vous (2023 · Indieshake · NMF / Indie Covers / Apple NMD · ISRC QMBZ92313382). Love Music More: DIY, Sweden, and Sync with Håkan Persson (IDSF founder · Swedish Red Elephant · Indie Shake). Press on I Don't Speak French releases: Indieshake × Beformer: Voulez-Vous editorial carousel, Beyond The Stage: Blow the Speakers Up / Samsung, B-Sides: Indieshake / sync interview, Jungle Indie Rock: Can You See premiere.
