**applied communications bites the big one**, nine-track LP by **Max Wood** as [applied communications](https://applcomm.bandcamp.com/album/applied-communications-bites-the-big-one) (**September 25, 2026**). Washington, D.C. It follows the [2024 comeback EP](/albums/applied-communications-has-a-midlife-crisis/) and the singles after it. Wood's release post calls it his first new LP in about 20 years.

**Mixed by Luke Francis Walton (Scoobert Doobert). Mastered by Riley Knapp.** Those engineer lines are Wood's, not the review's. Posting as [@appl.comm](https://www.instagram.com/appl.comm/), he names [@scoobertdoobert.pizza](https://www.instagram.com/scoobertdoobert.pizza/) mixing engineer, "whose creativity and thoughtfulness made each song he touched an entirely new - and always better - thing," and [@riley__knapp](https://www.instagram.com/riley__knapp/) mastering engineer ([transcript](/press-kit/evidence/#applied-communications-bites-the-big-one)). Bandcamp's album page lists the date and the nine tracks; it does not print the engineer credits. Track 5, [**cowboy bebop & eric's trip**](/songs/cowboy-bebop-erics-trip/), already carried them on its own Bandcamp page when it came out as a single (May 27, 2026): written, performed, and recorded by Max Wood; mixed by Scoobert Doobert; mastered by Riley Knapp.

[Bandcamp Daily](https://daily.bandcamp.com/album-of-the-day/applied-communications-applied-communications-bites-the-big-one-review) made the album its **Album of the Day** on release day (Luke Jackson, September 25, 2026). Bandcamp selected the album. The review does not name Walton. It points at **butcher**, **gracie mansion comfort zone**, and **return of jafar**.

The same post thanks @barnonerecords for help putting the record out, @terrorbirdmedia and @geosushigourmet for helping people find it, and @emperorx for help finishing it. Those are Wood's thanks. They are not Walton credits.

Luke did not write these lyrics: **mixing credit only** (not produce).
